Grammy-nominated funk and jazz icons\u00a0Lettuce<\/strong>\u00a0return to Toronto for the first time since 2016 with the release of their new album\u00a0Cook<\/em>. Presented by MRG Live, the show takes place this\u00a0Wednesday, August 27 at Annabel\u2019s Music Hall<\/strong>, featuring special guest\u00a0DJ Alister Johnson<\/strong>. Known for their high-energy performances, Lettuce brings a genre-blending sound that fuses funk, soul, jazz, rock, and hip-hop into an electrifying live experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their latest album\u00a0Cook<\/em>, released on their own Lettuce Records, showcases the band\u2019s most adventurous work yet. Recorded at Colorado Sound and mixed by Ryan Zoidis with Grammy-nominated engineer Jesse O\u2019Brien, the record reflects Lettuce\u2019s global influences and collaborations, from orchestral arrangements with the Colorado Symphony to tours with Wu-Tang Clan\u2019s GZA and reggae legend Ziggy Marley.\u00a0Cook<\/em>\u00a0delivers everything from symphonic depth to gritty funk tributes to James Brown and Tower of Power, alongside fresh new grooves like \u201cStorm\u2019s Coming\u201d and \u201cBreathe.\u201d With this album, Lettuce marks a new era of creativity, pairing their music with wine releases, recipes, and a renewed mission to bring people together through funk.
