NuFunk Concerts<\/strong> in association with Dubwise Canada<\/strong> proudly presents the largest and longest-running Bob Marley Birthday Tribute<\/strong> in Toronto, set to take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025<\/strong> at the legendary Lee\u2019s Palace<\/strong>. This iconic event celebrates the legacy of the reggae legend, Bob Marley, while showcasing the city\u2019s finest reggae talent and supporting the local community through food donations for the Parkdale Food Bank<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The night promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, community, and culture, featuring Reggaddiction<\/strong>, Juno Award-winning artists Kirk Diamond<\/strong>, and Kairo McLean<\/strong>, with Pressure Drop<\/strong> Sectors<\/strong> providing the perfect musical backdrop. Reggaddiction<\/strong>

Reggaddiction is a 10-piece reggae band from Toronto, Ontario, known for spreading unity and community through their music since 2019. Blending the timeless rhythms of Jamaican reggae with Canadian influences, they create a sound that transports listeners to tropical landscapes while fostering togetherness. Led by male and female vocalists D.M., soulful Toya Monique, and Sunray Grennan\u2014son of reggae drumming legend Winston Grennan (Jimmy Cliff, Toots & The Maytals)\u2014the band crafts vibrant, soulful music centered on love, resilience, and unity.

Kirk Diamond<\/strong>

Kirk Diamond<\/strong> is a Jamaican-Canadian reggae artist, songwriter, and producer, celebrated for his compelling blend of roots reggae and dancehall. Known for his hit singles such as “Love Inna We Heart” and “Reggae Party,” Kirk has earned critical acclaim with his Juno Award-nominated debut EP Greater<\/em> and his award-winning album Dread<\/em>. His music is a heartfelt reflection of his Jamaican heritage, while infusing modern influences that resonate globally. His stage presence is magnetic, and his performances are a testament to his message of hope, unity, and resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n




Kairo McLean<\/strong>

At just 16 years old, Kairo McLean<\/strong> is one of the brightest young stars in the Canadian reggae scene. Born and raised in Toronto, Kairo made history as the youngest-ever Juno Award nominee and winner, earning recognition for his breakthrough single “Easy Now.” He also collaborated with Kirk Diamond on the Juno Award-winning track \u201cReggae Party.\u201d Kairo’s unique ability to blend traditional reggae rhythms with contemporary influences has won him a dedicated following, with performances at major events and collaborations with top-tier reggae artists. His lyrics are deeply rooted in social consciousness and cultural pride, making him a powerful voice for the next generation of reggae.

Pressure Drop Selectors<\/strong>

Chuck Boom<\/strong> and Guv\u2019nor General<\/strong>, hosts of Toronto\u2019s renowned Pressure Drop<\/strong> sound system, will be bringing the finest in Jamaican music with their strictly vinyl selections. Known for their extensive knowledge of reggae\u2019s rich history, Pressure Drop has opened for top acts like Sister Nancy<\/strong> and Noel Ellis<\/strong>, and their influence extends across Toronto\u2019s reggae community. Expect a night full of classic riddims and deep cuts, keeping the vibes authentic and the dancefloor moving.

Supporting a Powerful Cause: Parkdale Community Food Bank<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the musical celebration, this year\u2019s event continues its long-standing tradition of giving back to the community. The Parkdale Community Food Bank<\/strong> will be the recipient of all food donations, helping those in need within Toronto\u2019s Parkdale neighborhood.
